Summary
Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are trying to get back to normal―they may have saved Crescent City, but with so much upheaval in their lives lately, they mostly want a chance to relax. Slow down. Figure out what the future holds.
The Asteri have kept their word so far, leaving Bryce and Hunt alone. But with the rebels chipping away at the Asteri’s power, the threat the rulers pose is growing. As Bryce, Hunt, and their friends get pulled into the rebels’ plans, the choice becomes clear: stay silent while others are oppressed, or fight for what’s right. And they’ve never been very good at staying silent.
My review
OMG why did it take me so long to finish this amazing book? Is it because I didn’t want it to end? Is it because the book had 805 pages? I have no idea. What I do know is that I adore Hunt, and Ruhn and I am in love with Bryce. She is my ultimate character. I want to be her, I want to have this amazing group of family and friends around me like she has. She is wild, she is chaos and she is loved immensly. The side characters are amazing and well rounded. They have way of letting you fall in love with them too. Oh and don’t even talk to me about the ending of this book. I loved it as much as I hated it. I need to know what happens next. My heart was taken out of my chest and crushed into a thousand pieces. I know I cannot read this book again for the first time and that is why I’m heartbroken. The storyline is complex, gripping and written at a pace that never slows. Ruhn and Day, Bryce and Hunt and all the spice and love and interactions just blew me away. This is an absolute must read!
