What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
Step 1: Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
Step 2: Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
Step 3: Finally… reveal the book!
“It’s too damn cold of a day to be out on a hunt. I shiver, tug my scarf up higher over my mouth, and wipe a few snowflakes from my lashes. Then I slam my boot down on my electric skateboard.”
